Jemez

These are some pictures from our camping trip to Jemez with a couple of friends. On the second day we hiked to the San Antonio hot spring which is magnificant. On the way out the lighting and rain came, nothing like the imminent death of a lightening strike to wake one up to the preciousness of life.

Working

Just taking a break at work. Today seems like an especially tedious day. While I like the experience, ie the skills I am picking up, and the process of the project cycle, I am not very interested in what we are doing. Right now we are mapping and running statistics on NM traffic crashes. I definetly want to pursue a career that utilizes a different aspect of GIS.

Aside from work, I am mainly doing Baha'i activities this summer. This week is a busy one. Already facilitated two study circles, tonight I will be taking to jr. youth to play putt putt. Tommorrow night I am visiting my grandmother and Aunt in La Jara, this weeking I am facilitating book 6 for the RUHI intensive, and Saturday night I am organizing a bachaelor party for Chris. Also going to the Gym almost every day. Although sometimes I just want to stay home and sleep, my minor exhaustion feels healthy, like I am accomplishing things, moving life along.

Sjona and I are doing well, although we have different sleep schedules and neither of us want to compromize, (although she is probably more than me). Overall marriage seems very natural. Like it is the natural order of things. Definetely a positive thing in my life. She has been looking for a summer job, not yet successfull. I think that she is giving up though, the summer is moving quickly, making it harder to find a job. She is waiting to start working at the language lab in the fall for work study, the same place I worked my freshmen year.

Summer seems to drain into a conglomerate stream of consciousness........

Sunset in Taos!!!!

People in pictures include grandma, dad, wife, me. I especially like the one with Sjona, she looks like a tree sprite.

We are spending some time in Taos. The purpose of our trip is that my dad is putting on a Native American Prayer meeting (this is his religion) and we are here to support. Here we are at a beautiful spot in Taos with a hotspring we indulged in.

Rahan's going away party

Today was nice. It was a great day being with great people, but I am sad to see Rahan Leave. He is the sexy guy on the bottom with that scary chick (Sorry Tara, but that is the scariest picture I have ever taken). Rahan was my roomate for a year, we were very sad to be split up by my mean wife.

This is at my engagement party in Chili last August. My new family(:!!!!

This is my mom and wife(can you guess which order)

Rian came down for my wedding from Oregon. We met in 8th grade and he has since become one of my closest friends.

I am new to internet journaling, but I'll give it a shot. So far I have been married for two weeks. Life is very serene right now, I am very happy, I am very content. Sjo and I are getting along well and enjoying building a life together.

I have felt a little out of touch with the Bahai community. We have kind of shut ourselves in the past few weeks which has been good, but I think it is time to re-engage.

This is the superartistic photo I took of three married gals and a swinga

This was from a youth reteat a couple months ago.
This is a picture my good friend Alex and myself. Alex is the famous vagabond Bahai who comes through every year or so, one of his many stops.
